What do you think about Soft Paws/Claws for cats?
I am going to be trying these out. I would like input from people who have actually used them. I read a number of horror stories about them not shedding and growing into the paw pads and cats biting and shredding their nails to the quick to get them off. Have you had good experiences? Have you had bad experiences? Any information would be great. The brochure makes it sound like the caps not shedding normally is an uncommon occurrence. You wouldn’t think so by reading the reviews. Thanks so much and I look forward to your stories and advice.
I think they’re a waste of money and they make it way to easy for a cat owner to ignore TRIMMING the nails. Why don’t you just go that? Trim them at least every ten days or so and they won’t hook onto furniture, grow into the pads. A cat’s nail is like an onion – many layers. So when the outermost layer sheds – either naturally or by scratching – it DOESN’T make the nail shorter. You NEED to trim the nails.
