Is it illegal to have/drive with 5 beers in a six pack container?
Is the broken six pack illegal? If I wanted to bring 3-4 beers to a friends house and got pulled over, would it be considered an open container?
The law defines “open alcoholic beverage container” as any bottle, can, or other receptacle that contains any amount of alcoholic beverage and: (1) is open or has a broken seal; or (2) the contents of which are partially removed.
Are 4 beers from a 6-pack “contents that are partially removed”?
Just put the beer in a bag and you won’t have to worry about anything.
