i have 3 female dogs a chug a chi/cairn terrier mix and a lab they all fight for one bone even if theres three?
or more bones available to them they all usually trick one another in to getting it so how do i know whos really the dominant one out of them? they ll fight over it[bone, toy] nothing serious but the chihuahuas usually team up on the lab
Your only bet is to correct the problem, doesn’t matter if they have a million bones they are being possessive over one of the dogs, you can do a loud yell, tap on the nose or a squirt bottle when this behaviour starts, you will have to nip it in the butt though as this aggression can rear it’s ugly head if you take your dogs to offleash parks. I have even seen some trainers “bonk” dogs on the head (lightly) when aggression has started to show, I wouldn’t do it but it depends basically on what works for your dogs.
