I run a U.K Parrot rescue service & I am looking for caring companion parrot owners worldwide to join my new Yahoo Group. The group aims to give honest, knowledgeable suppot to anyone who cares about the welfare of their bird. Is this bird cage big enough for one Indian ringneck?

I have never had a bird ive been reading up and stuff and im just wondering if this birdcage will be suitable, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=238880848

No this is NOT suitable at all. Indian rednecks may be the same size as cockatiels, but they have larger wingspans and longer tail and flight feathers. Over all, it’s a bigger bird. A cage should be at least 20x20x30. It shouldn’t be round either because round isn’t ideal for climbing and it doesn’t make a bird feel safe. The cage should be around $300 if you get a good one. This is going to be your parrots home for the next long while so shouldn’t you get a good cage?
