Frontline by merial not WORKING AT all!!!?
For the first time in 8 years I cannot get rid of the Fleas on my cat using Frontline from Merial,I use to give to my cat Advantage a nd I should have never switched.
I have been trying Frontline for 8-9 month and it is a disaster,I try to call them but their 800 phone number is out of service! 1 800 808 691.my cat is a “little bit” out door,I will give her a flea bath until Advantage reach my mail box,have you heard any bad things about Frontline? thanks.
Frontline works very well…with that said it isn’t enough ot simply treat your pet you need to also treat the environment as well. No matter what flea product you use if your pet is exposed to fleas then fleas will get on them plain and simple.With Frontline the adult fleas will die once they have come in contact with the hair/skin. Also larvae & eggs will die as well. You also need ot make sure it is applied correctly and is used and reapplied as directed. Also it needs ot come from the vet and not OTC.
One big mistake people make is they wait until the start seeing fleas or flea dirt before treating their pet…once you start seeing fleas/flea dirt it means you already have an infestation.Once you have an infestation it will take longer for that cycle to be broken.. often 3-4 months
In some areas the fleas are at an all time high because of the nature of the weather over the past fall, winter, spring..this means every time your pet goes out it is exposed ot fleas, it means that you, your family, your friends continuously bring fleas on your shoes, clothing, bags, toys, etc.
Also a side note..my guess would be that you didn’t get your Frontline from a vet but rather OTC from online or a pet store..it has been proven that at least 70% of these products are counterfeit even though sold in identical packaging.It has been proven that much of these counterfeit products come from places such as India or China. Merial only distributes its products to licensed vets and will not guarantee any product bought from other then a licensed vet…also the number you tried to call is an incorrect number the merial # is 1 800 660-1842
