Medium Dog
How long would a medium sized dog live?
I adopted a Bassett hound/boxer mix who’s 6 years Old. I know there is no sure way to predict fir a mix, but how long would she live? She’s a little leggier and a tad bigger than a basset, and is a medium sized dog. Is There any rule or thumbfor guessing lifespan of a dog? She’s also completely healthy.

I love Bassett Hounds, mine is 9 and her name is Ruby. The average is 12-13, but it depends a lot on the bloodline and the care the dog recieves through it’s lifetime. I’ve known of bassets that lived to be 18-19, you have a lot of time together.
