How can I get rid off strong pet odor from cloth dryer which previous owner dry her dog’s item ?
Previous owner of the house has two big dogs and she use that dryer for her dogs blanket/ carpet etc. When I tried to dry my cloth in it, it leave very strong pet odor on my cloth. Do you have any advice on how to remove that pet odor ? I already tried to put several “cling sheets” and that did not work. Thanks.
I know that awful smell! Its the reason all of our dog bedding is washed at the laundromat in the “dog” machine…
I think this may be a matter of trial and error.
First I would recommend thoroughly emptying and then washing your lint filter.
Then use your vacuum to clean out any hair etc from the dryer and its vents…
If you are really handy you could removed the panels of the dryer and clean any hair or dust out.
You could try soaking a towel in fabric softener and then tumble drying it on a low setting…
Or try the same thing with a cloth soaked in either bleach or vinegar…
Apart from that it may be worth calling in a dryer technician…
