Is it bad to feed a cat that already has a collar that roams around my neighborhood?
There is a stray in the neighborhood that I like to feed. But this one with the collar appears to be hanging around more waiting for a hand out. Is this bad for the cat with a collar (potentially getting two meals a day)?
ironically, the stray chases off the owned cat from the food.
Never thought of the special diet needs. I don’t give them junk food I don’t think, I’m giving them the legit fancy feast.
Yes, it’s bad to feed that cat. It could be on a special diet so he’ll want to eat anything it isn’t suppose to. It could end up getting fat from so many meals, if it gets sick, the owner may not know why, etc.
I would hate if someone else were feeding my cats. While it’s a nice gesture, I made a point of getting them quality food so they can be the kind of healthy I want them to be. If someone were just giving them whatever then all my efforts would be wasted.
Save that food for the strays that need it.
